    What is McMMO?

McMMO allows for an RPG-like experience to exist in the world of Minecraft complete with skill leveling, special abilities, rare loot, brand new mechanics and a more in-depth PvP!

McMMO's main function is to incorporate an RPG-like skill system that players will have access to right from the beginning. Depending on how much a certain tool is used or a certain action is performed, players will gain experience that will eventually add bonuses such as double drops, rare drops, or ability enhancement.

    Gathering Skills

Mining is a skill focused around mining stone and ore. A notable perk of this skill is the higher potential yield from each ore, increased even further when using an active skill. Mining also adds new functionality to TNT, by allowing remote detonation. Mining is a parent skill of Smelting.

    Ability: Super Breaker

    Speed + Triple drop chance

Super Breaker (activated by right-clicking with a pickaxe in hand), will temporarily add 5 Efficiency levels to the held pickaxe, triple the double drop rate, and replace normal-rate double drops with triple drops. In other words, Super Breaker stacks with fortune 3 enhancements.

The duration of the skill starts at 2 seconds, and increases by 1 second every 50 levels. There is no maximum duration. Like all skills, its default cooldown time is 240 seconds. The effects and duration of this Super Move can be altered in the server config, along with other information on this page. Unequipping the pickaxe will cause the remaining time with the ability to be wasted and cooldown time to start sooner.

    Ability: Double Drops

    Double the normal loot

Double drops is a passive ability that allows the player to gain two items instead of the usual one when mining any naturally generated block found in the experience table below. The odds of this happening increase by 0.1% per level to a maximum of 100% at level 1000. It does not stack with the Fortune enchantment, but does work with Silk Touch.

Ability: Blast Mining - Locked until level 125 mining

    Bonuses to mining with TNT

Instead of using a pickaxe to break blocks, Blast Mining utilizes TNT to destroy and mine blocks. It is activated by using a flint & steel outside of the standard ignition range (shift and right-click the air between yourself and the TNT). Unlike ignition in vanilla, the TNT explodes instantly.

With Blast Mining, the range at which the TNT ignites is extended. Higher Mining levels will yield more ores and less debris. By default, TNT drops 30% of what is blown up, and is increased further with each level.

Ability: Bigger Bombs - Locked until level 375 mining

    Increases TNT explosion radius

The Bigger Bombs ability increases the explosive range of TNT ignited with Blast Mining. At level 375, it adds 2 to the radius of the explosion. At level 625, this bonus is increased to 3. And at level 875, the radius gains its maximum bonus of 4.

Ability: Demolitions Expertise - Locked until level 500 mining

    Decreases damage from TNT explosions

Demolitions expertise is a passive ability that reduces the damage done by TNT with Blast Mining by 25%. At level 750, the damage is decreased by 50%. At level 1000, damage reduction is 100%.

Note that TNT ignited through standard means still causes harm, and only when ignited through Blast Mining is the damage negated.

Woodcutting is a skill that is based around chopping trees down with an axe. Leveling the skill gives you increased chances of extra wood dropping from trees, as well as extra duration on the tree feller ability.

    Ability: Tree Feller

    Make trees explode

Tree Feller is an active skill that allows you to chop down entire trees by only breaking one block. To use Tree Feller, right-click while holding an axe to ready your tool. With the tool ready, chop a block of wood or giant mushroom to activate the skill. Tree Feller only breaks blocks at the same height and higher than the block that is chopped, so cutting the middle of a tree will leave a stump. At level 0, tree feller is unavailable, it unlocks at level 50, and it increases by 1 second every 50 levels. This gives it a max duration of 22 seconds at level 1000. The ability has a cooldown between uses that lasts 240 seconds (4 minutes). Tree feller does not break trees larger than 500 blocks by default and at lower levels, it breaks much less.

Ability: Leaf Blower - Locked until level 150 woodcutting

    Blow away leaves

Leaf Blower is an ability that will cause leaf blocks to break instantly when hit with an axe. When destroyed using Leaf Blower, a leaf block has a 10% chance of dropping its respective sapling. The leaves do durability damage to the axe and make a popping sound when broken.

    Ability: Double Drops

    Double the normal loot

Double drops is a passive skill that allows you to gain two items instead of one when chopping any log or giant mushroom block that was either generated by the world or grown. The chance to get double drops increases by 0.1% per level to a maximum of 100% at level 1000.

Herbalism is a skill in McMMO that governs the ability to harvest plants and crops excluding trees and other more structural occurences of plants. It requires multiple tools to make the full use of its abilities.

    Ability: Green Terra

Right-clicking empty farmland and breaking a plant or crop after Herbalism Level 50 activates the super move Green Terra. It increases in duration at certain levels. It has a cooldown of 240 seconds.

    Effects while activated

    • High chance to triple all drops from harvested plants or crops, including seeds.
    • For farming, a potential to replant numerous seeds for free during the skill duration, saving time and seeds.
    • Consumes 1 wheat Seed to convert one of the following blocks:
      • Cobblestone into Mossy Cobblestone
      • Stone Brick into Mossy Stone Brick
      • Dirt into Grass

    Ability: Green Thumb

Green Thumb has the ability to more rapidly progress the growth of all single-block crops. The skill curve roughly follows the equation based on this table:
    level*(13.3%/200)=chance
where level is your herbalism level and chance is the odds for instant growth to that stage.

    Herbalism Level Growth Stage Chance
    Herbalism Level0 - 199 Growth Stage0 Chance(lvl 0) 0% - 13.3%
    Herbalism Level200 - 399 Growth Stage1 Chance13.3% - 26.7%
    Herbalism Level400 - 599 Growth Stage2 Chance26.7% - 40%
    Herbalism Level600 - 799 Growth Stage3 Chance40% - 53.3%
    Herbalism Level800 - 1500 Growth Stage4 Chance53.3% - 100% (lvl 1500)

    Ability: Shroom Thumb

Using a mushroom on a block of dirt while both a red and brown mushroom are in the inventory triggers "Shroom Thumb". It consumes a red and brown mushroom, and has a chance to turn the block of dirt into a block of mycelium. The chances of success increases with Herbalism level.

    Ability: Farmer's Diet

This passive skill increases the amount of hunger that grown food will restore as the player's Herbalism level increases. One hunger is half of a piece of meat on the hunger bar.

    Ability: Hylian Luck

Hylian Luck gives a small chance to obtain special items when certain blocks are broken with a sword. Currently, the blocks that are affected by this are:

    • Grass (Melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, cocoa beans)
    • Saplings (Melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, cocoa beans)
    • Dead Bushes (Melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, cocoa beans)
    • Flowers (Potatoes, carrots, apples)

The chance for a drop goes up by 0.01% every level. However, the stats menu only displays whole percentage points. At Level 1000, the chances are 10%.

    Ability: Double Drops

This skill doubles the drops obtained from crops and plants. The chance is increased by 0.1% each Level, mathematically guaranteeing double drops at level 1000. In the stats menu, however, the increased percentage will only be visible every 10 levels due to flooring.

Ability: Master Angler - Unlocked at 125 fishing

The bite chance is 4% per second by either being in a river or ocean biome, being in a boat, or fishing during rain. All of these methods stack.

This mean that being in a boat, on a river while raining will increase your chance of a bite by 12% every second from when you cast your lure

Ability: Shake (Currently a bit dodgy and we're hard at work getting shake to work.

Shake is an ability that can pull drops and held items from mobs by hooking them with a fishing rod. It can be used repeatedly for a large number of items depending on the remaining health of the mob. However, this reduces the durability of the fishing rod drastically. The fishing rod, when used in this method, will always deal damage equivalent to 25% of the maximum health of the mob. Keep this in mind when fighting tougher creatures such as Iron Golems, as a single shake will deal a considerable amount of damage. If fighting tiny magma cubes it will kill the mob.

    Combat Skills

Unarmed is a combat skill; it uses the player's empty hand as a weapon. It includes many perks, such as disarming, deflecting arrows, higher base unarmed attack, and more.

    Passive Abilities

    • Berserker
      • Berserker is the ability gained from using Unarmed . To activate the skill you will have to 'Right Click' on a block, then hit a Mob/Player/Weak Block (Dirt, Sand, Gravel...) Berserker will be activated for a limited amount of time (Increases with leveling up)
      • Benefits - Activating Berserker, makes your Unarmed Hits do 50% more Damage, and increases the speed at which you destroy Weak Blocks (Increases with levelling up Unarmed) In PvP this ability can win you the fight - Choosing the right moment to Burst down your enemy can be key.
    • Iron Arm Style
      • Iron Arm Style adds extra damage to your normal hits using fist. To start with, McMMO increases the Damage by 3. This scales by 1 extra attack damage every 50 levels, capping at level 250 with 8 damage increment. Note that Damage is reduced if hitting enemies using Armor. Mobs get a lot easier to kill though. This passive scales with Berserker Active (50% +damage on active)
    • Arrow Deflect
      • Increasing your Unarmed level increases your chance of deflecting an incoming arrow. Deflecting enemy arrows has a chance to hit the person who fired the arrow, the chance is much lower than deflecting an arrow though.
      • +0.05% per level until max at 50% at level 1000
    • Disarm
      • Disarm is a powerful passive ability useful in PvP which gives you a chance to make your opponent drop the item held in their hand. This chance has a cap of 33% at level 1000, and can be used on everything held in hand (Sword, Bow, Notch Apples...) When hitting an opponent with your fists, the item held in your opponent's hand will be dropped onto the ground at a chance which depends on your Unarmed level. After the item is dropped, both players can pick the dropped item back up, so be fast!
      • +0.0333...% per level until max of 33%
    • Iron Grip
      • Iron Grip increases your chance of not getting Disarmed yourself. Iron Grip has a cap at 100% at level 1000. It scales at 0.1% per level. Being level 1000 in Unarmed makes it impossible for you to then get unarmed, since your Iron Grip is 100%. This ability can prove extremely helpful fighting another player with high Unarmed.
      • XP Grinding Tips: As XP is exclusively gained via naturally spawned mobs and players, the most efficient training method is to kill Zombie Pigmen. While some players prefer to kill Endermen due to their high health, Zombie Pigmen have an XP multiplier of 3 (while Endermen are at 1). Thus, killing two Zombie Pigmen will be equivalent to killing three Endermen in terms of XP, while having to deal only 1/3rd of the damage.

    PvP Example

Going into a battle with another player (As if you were level 1000 in unarmed) - A good tip is to do /inspect [Player name] to see their McMMO stats. Looking at their stats quickly, you can see his weaknesses, for example being under 1000 in unarmed, means you can disarm the person. Start off by going on an absolute rampage with your fist, using your Passives for example Arrow Deflect to get close, if he is trying to shoot you down with a bow until you get up close. Getting up close to him, activate your Berserk Active to increase your damage, and give you a good start (you might want to use potions for a further advantage). While your Berserk is active, try to get as many hits off as possible, trying to disarm the enemy, when berserk runs out and the enemy is unarmed, switch to your sword (or theirs, depending whose is better) or axe to finish off the job, now that you have a clear advantage over your enemy. With Berserk, if you're in a bit of trouble, you can dig a quick hole under the enemy, allowing for a getaway, or drink pots, shift items, etc.

.Archery is the skill in McMMO corresponding to the use of bows as missile weapons (as opposed to slapping with the bow, regardless of its attributes as modified by commands or other means). It lacks an active ability but has passive utilitarian and support abilities.

    Ability: Daze

Daze inflicts Nausea on the target for 6 seconds and deals 4 additional damage. Nausea only affects players and has no effect on non-player mobs.
The chance of Daze occuring is 0.05% per hit per level, capping at 50% at level 1000. This is equal to 1% every 20 levels. The Archery stats page only displays by whole percentages

    Ability: Arrow Retrieval

Arrow Retrieval allows the re-collection of arrows that were fired at mobs. The arrows are duplicated when they hit and a fresh one is retrieved from the ground as the arrow entity, rather than dropping from the mob. The chance for this stat increases by 0.1% with each level of Archery, totaling 100% at Archery Lvl. 1000.

Your archery damage increases 10% every 50 archery levels, to a maximum buff of 200% at level 1000.

The Swords McMMO includes abilities which allow you to add Rupture effects to your attacks and counter the enemy's hits.

    Ability: Serrated Strikes

Right clicking the mouse activates this ability, This ability allows you to deal an AoE (Area of Effect) hit. This AoE will do a bonus 25% damage and will inflict a bleed effect that lasts for 2.5 seconds.

This does however cause damage to your swords durability depending on how much health the target has, so it's recommended to not use this ability in rpg style Dungeons where mobs have insane health pools.

    Passive Abilities

    • Rupture
      • Causes enemies to take damage every two seconds. If you apply Rupture to a mob, it will bleed until the effect wears off or death, whichever comes first. The duration of the bleed is increased by your sword skill.
      • At level 1000, Rupture will last for 6 seconds damaging 1/2 heart per second, for a total of 3 hearts. The chance to apply Rupture is 0.1% for every skill level in Swords, with a max cap of 75% at level 750.
      • Rupture normally lasts for two seconds, however if your Swords skill is above 750 it will last for one tick longer than normal.
      • Ruptures can have their duration increased if another Rupture is applied.
(e.g. if the player has Rupture with 3 ticks remaining and another 3-ticks Rupture was applied, Rupture will last for 6 ticks thereafter.)
    • Counter Attack
      • A counterattack takes damage dealt to you and returns half to the attacking person or crowd. It won't work if you have half a heart left. The chance to counterattack depends on your Swords level and increases the level by up to 31%.

Axes is a skill based on using the axe tool as a weapon to fight mobs and other players. It adds more variety to gameplay by introducing a new type of weapon viable for many situations.

Axes can be very useful in PvP as it can quickly break armour and deal critical strikes. Depending on your axes level, it is possible to break armour at a very quick rate. Axes can also be very useful if you are fighting 1v2, as the active ability allows you to do AoE damage.

    Ability: Skull Splitter

With an Axe held in your hand, you can right-click a block, making your active ability ready for use. The ability will then get activated by hitting Mobs/Players.This ability works for a limited amount of time starting out at 2 seconds, increasing by 1 second every 50 levels.

    Passive Abilities

    • Critical Strike
      • Critical Strikes double the amount of damage you deal with your axe. This is great for eliminating high defense targets. The ability starts max out at 50%.
    • Axe Mastery
      • Axe Mastery inflicts more damage dependent on axe level. Axe mastery increases damage done from axes by 0.02 per level, capping at +4 bonus damage at level 200.
    • Armor Impact

Taming is a skill in McMMO. As your level increases, your wolves will get abilities that increase damage, defense and other things.

While an interesting ability, the AI of wolves makes it sometimes difficult to be helpful, as they all target one enemy at the same time, and can't divide their focus. All you would need is a skeleton spawner and a spider spawner and you can just jump into pvp area and watch your wolves murder everyone. Keep in mind that ocelots wont help much with your taming skill.

    Ability: Call of the Wild

Summons an animal to your side. To use it hold 10 bones for a wolf, 10 raw fish for an ocelot or 10 apples for a horse and then left click into the air while sneaking. (Shift)

Mobs summoned with "Call of the Wild" will be named in accordance to your in game name. For example, if your name in minecraft was "Steve" then your wolf will be named "Steve's wolf."

Summoning animals does not grant Exp in the taming skill, as opposed to taming the animals yourself

Call of the Wild will not work if you or anyone else has an existing wolf within 40 blocks of you.

This skill is one of the most useful in PVP. By bringing a stack of bones, you can easily summon wolves when in the middle of battle, as opposed to having one wolf trail you wherever you go.

    Ability: Beast Lore

This skill allows you to inspect your wolves, horses or ocelots by left-clicking them with a bone. Note that left-clicking with anything else will damage your wolf, horse or ocelot.

    Passive Skills

    • Environmentally Aware
      • The skill "Environmentally Aware" comes after your taming reaches past level 100. This skill grants your summoned wolves the ability of teleporting to you when nearing cacti or lava. This also allows your wolf to be immune to fall damage. It is a hidden skill that improves the usefulness of wolves drastically.
    • Gore
      • Whenever tamed wolves attack a target, there is a chance that they will inflict a critical strike that applies bleed. The chance goes up 1% per ten levels to get a Gore, to a maximum of 100% at level 1000. This passive is extraordinary for PVP as it will deal 2 hearts of damage to your target. This means that if you're attacking a protection 4 diamond armor player, 5 lucky hits will kill him. As your skill rises lucky hits will slowly become regular hits.

The best skill by far when you want your wolves to survive.

You can repair items in Minecraft by Using the McMMO anvil (an iron block) and right-clicking it with the item you would like to repair in your hand. Salvage is the ability to reclaim the base materials from tools and armor. It is a child skill of Repair and Fishing, and it is calculated by averaging the two levels together. The ability to salvage is unlocked after Repair level 25. At lower levels, only undamaged items can be salvaged. Advanced Salvage, unlocked at level 350 by default, allows damaged items to be salvaged. To salvage, right click a gold block while holding a salvageable item. Raw materials will pop out of the salvage anvil.
Only the valuable components of any item can be salvaged. The handles of tools and weapons cannot be retrieved.

Arcane Salvage - Unlocks at 125 salvaging

This ability allows enchanted books to also appear when salvaging enchanted items. The chance of successfully extracting a full or partial enchantment increases per level.

When an enchantment is partially extracted, the enchantments on the book will have a lower level compared to what it was on the item. For example, salvaging a Protection IV iron chestplate may produce a Protection III book.

Advanced Salvage - Unlocks at 125 salvaging

When unlocked, this ability allows damaged items to be salvaged. The yield percentage increases with level. At least 1 of the component material is guaranteed to be salvaged, unless the item is too damaged to salvage. However, fewer materials will be obtained from a damaged item as compared to an undamaged item.

Example: A gold pickaxe which has been damaged for 20% of its durability (80% left) can return 2 gold ingots. Each of the 3 ingots used to make it is worth 33.33% of its durability, so 2 ingots equals 66.6%. If the player's yield percentage is below 66.6%, only 1 ingot will be obtained. If it is above this value, then the full salvageable amount is given.

Smelting is a child skill of Mining and Repair. The effective Smelting level is the average of the parent skill levels. Smelting was the first skill.

    Passive Abilities

    • Fuel Efficiency
      • Fuel Efficiency is a passive ability of Smelting that makes the burn time of fuel in a furnace extend. Each level increases the efficiency multiplier by about 0.04. For example, Fuel Efficiency reaches 4x at level 1000.
    • Second Smelt
      • This ability will grant a second piece of whatever you're smelting, whether it be logs to charcoal, iron ore to iron, and even gold ore to gold. The chance of the player doing a second smelt increases 0.1% per Smelting level. At level 1000, you have a 100% chance of getting a second smelt.
    • Vanilla XP Boost
      • The Vanilla XP Boost ability is a passive, like all Smelting abilities are, that grants more experience from a furnace when you smelt materials or ores such as iron ore, oak logs, and sand. The more levels you increase in the smelting skill, the more experience you will gain when you smelt something in a furnace. Like all abilities, Vanilla XP Boost caps at 1000 levels.
    • Flux Mining
      • Smelting a full durability pickaxe in a furnace gives a Flux Pickaxe of that type. For example smelting a diamond pickaxe you would get a diamond pickaxe called 'Flux Pickaxe'. If you are at mining level 250+ you have an approx. 33% chance of instantly smelting ore you break. This action is followed with particle effects.
